DVGK LLC is the holder of a licence to explore and mine for gold at the deposit until 2020. Discovered 1970s, the Bolotistoe depositis 210 km north-eastward from Khabarovsk (Lazo District).
The description of the deposit:
- Year-round availability of the deposit, existence of the required infrastructure.
- Deposit resources: over 3,000,000 ounces.
- Possibility to extract ore by opencast mining.
In 2013 a new exploration work project was designed and approved. DVGK plans
to carry out further exploration work during the next three to four years in
order to increase the resource base of the deposit.
Gold mineralization within the Bolotistoe ore field is represented by
three mineral-morphological types:
1) Stockwork-stringer gold-quartztype is represented by gold-bearing quartz veins in association with scarce quartz vein lets.
2) Porphyry-stringer gold-quartz-sulphide type is represented by dispersed disseminated and stringer-porphyry gold-bearing sulphide mineralization of primarily pyrite-arsenopyrite and pyrite-chalcopyrite composition with a minor content of quartz.
3) Gold-sulphide typeis represented by local aggregates of gold-bearing sulphides of pyrite-pyrrhotine-chalcopyrite composition, localized mainly in melanocratic gabbroids.
